Journey With Indian Beauty

Bio of Indian Beauty

Born and raised in a small native community in Northern Manitoba, with siblings of 7, eight of us altogether. Our father died when we were all quite young to understand, to me anyway, therefore, our mother raised all eight of us children, and most of us turned out well, but we all had a taste of the wild side with so much of alcohol. Now, I do not even drink at all, and have no desire whatsoever for it, and know by first hand experience where the consumption of alcohol does lead to.

I am in my late 30's and have 4 children, ages 17, 13, 12, and 9 years old, and I have been married for 14 years, and I enjoy spending time with family and friends, but most of all I enjoy the quiet moments, from whence my peace comes upon me.

I enjoy listening to a variety of music except heavy metal, my most relaxing music are nature, soul, and classical opera, and a variety of oldies from the 70's and 80's.

I enjoy watching tv sitcoms like Friends, Family Matters, Fresh Prince of Belair, and getting to the cartoon side, I enjoy watching with my family...The King Of the Hill, Dilbert, and even The Simpsons.

Presently I am in training to persuing an Education degree, and education has been my background since I have completed my Bachelor of Arts in Cree Linguistics, as I have taught the Cree language to the elementry students back home, and from there I wanted to have my own class, and I am now persuing an Education Degree. The thing is I started out in the Indian Arts Program when I first started taking classes back in 1985, in Regina, Saskatchewan. Presently I am living in The Pas, Manitoba which is about 450 miles west of my home town, and now call my home, as my husband has worked here for a long time, even though my husband and I are originally from the same town.

It has just been recently when I started writing poetry, and all writes are all from experiences of the past, and also from the current situations that touch me deeply. I can truly say I am very spiritual, as it is the only way to know life...for life is knowing with a deep understanding, the Creator of Life, our God, our breathe.
